# MCAP: Student data ## Looking up MCAP data for single student in Infinite Campus If you would like to see all standardized test results for a specific student: - [ ] Log in to Infinite Campus - [ ] Search for the student by name or by ID number - [ ] Open the student's profile - [ ] In the right panel, click ''Assessment'' - [ ] Scroll to the desired assessment ## Pulling school-wide MCAP data from Infinite Campus If you would like to see the results of a specific test in a specific year for all students on your roster: - [ ] Log in to Infinite Campus - [ ] Click the person icon in the top right corner - [ ] If ''New Look'' is not on, turn it on - [ ] In the left panel, click ''Student Information'' - [ ] Scroll to the bottom and click ''Test Results Report'' - [ ] Change the ''Enrollment Effective Date'' to today's date - [ ] Deselect ''State Test'' - [ ] Select ''District Test'' - [ ] Under ''District Test'', select the test (e.g., MCAPMath08 or MCAPAlg1) - [ ] Set ''Test Score Date Range'' to 04/01/2024 to 05/31/2024 - [ ] At the bottom, choose the format for the report (PDF, CSV, DOCX) - [ ] Click ''Generate Report'' If you would like to see MCAP Math 7 results from students in Grade 9 this year, select the appropriate ''District Test'' and change the ''Test Score Date Range'' to 04/01/2023 to 05/31/2023, as that is when current 9th-graders would have taken MCAP Math 7. ## Analyzing the data * If you generate a test report in the PDF format, you can easily skim through, but you can't easily sort the data, compute the mean and median, etc. * If you intend to analyze the data, choose the CSV format, then import the CSV file into Google Sheets, or your preferred spreadsheet software or database management system * As far as I'm aware, if there are several Algebra 1 teachers at your school, the only way to sort the results by teacher is to add an extra column in the spreadsheet and look up the teacher for each student one by one
